HistoryThe Sentinel HS Group was founded in August 2005 by Brian C. Goebel. Mr. Goebel served as Counselor and Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Robert C. Bonner from September 2001 to May 2004. Following his tenure at CBP, Mr. Goebel returned to the practice of law in Washington, DC, where he represented clients in a number of areas, including export control and trade compliance. After sixteen months, Mr. Goebel left his successful legal practice to found The Sentinel HS Group in an effort to perform more "mission-related" work and contribute more directly to the homeland security of the U.S. Since its founding, the firm has grown steadily and in a disciplined manner. At the end of its fifth year, the firm had fifteen members and employees. We expect this careful growth pattern to continue for the foreseeable future. Although the firm could grow more quickly, we have intentionally adopted a smart growth philosophy in order to guarantee that we can hire the most talented homeland security professionals, thereby preserving and promoting its recognized brand. Over the past six years, the firm's service offerings have grown with our increased size. We have taken on an increasing array of projects and expanded our client offerings as demand for the firm's services has grown based on the firm's proven track record of winning homeland security proposals and providing other valuable advice and assistance to its clients. Today, the firm stands as one of the premier boutique consulting firms in the homeland security space, with a recognized brand based on the caliber of our personnel, our commitment to "rolling up our sleeves" to provide exceptional consulting services to our clients, and our unparalleled proposal success rate. |
